Mitsumura Printing Company

1901	Toshimo Mitsumura founded the Kansai Photo Plate Making Company at Kobe.
1904	"Image of Kujaku Myo'o" was exhibited at the St. Louis World Exposition held in US, and was awarded the grand prize. Made by printing more than one thousand and three hundreds times, it was the biggest and the most colorful woodblock print in the world.
1918	Moved to Jimbo-cho, Kanda, Tokyo, and renamed itself to Mitsumura Printing Company.
1928	Further changed the company name to Mitsumura Tricolor Printing Company.
1934	Built a new head office, photograph studio and factory equipped for three color offset printing at Osaki, Tokyo.
1949	Founded the Mitsumura Tosho Publishing Co., LTD. for publishing textbooks.
1961	Was listed on the second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange, at the time of its launch.
1967	Kawagoe Factory: Built a new factory in Kawagoe, Saitama. (Mitsumura Printing Co., Ltd.)
1969	Installed an offset rotary press for newspaper printing and began color printing for The Yomiuri Newspaper's Sunday edition in Kawagoe Factory.
1970	Soka Factory: Completed a new factory in Soka, Saitama. (Hosokawa Printing Co., Ltd.)
1971	Established a new plant for electronic products in Kawagoe Factory.
1983	Began printing for The Yomiuri Newspaper's daily edition.
1990	Nasu Factory: Established a new factory to produce FPD related products in Otawara, Tochigi. Mitsumura Tricolor Printing Company merged with Mitsumura Printing Co., Ltd.
1991	Changed company name to Mitsumura Printing Co., Ltd.
1994	Acquired and merged with Hosokawa Printing Co., Ltd. Started reconstruction of the head office building.
1996	Completed the new head office.
1997	Opened Mitsumura Art Plaza.
2002	Was listed on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange. Certified by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for environmental conservation.
2003	Received a patent for our forgery prevention technology "Copitect Color".
